Zush

BiographyBorn Alberto Porta in 1946 (Barcelona), he changed his name to Zush after being submitted to a mental hospital with Schizophrenia during the dictatorship of General Francisco Franco.



He is a well-known modern Spanish painter, who works in modernist, alternative, interactive, digital, cinematic and magical-realist genres. The website First Zush, then Evru describes him as a "psychomanual digital artist" and an "artist scientist mystic." His work has been displayed in the Georges Pompidou center in Paris and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. He was born Alberto Pornacido (or Porta). Since 2001 Zush's work has also been found under the name Evru and Zush Evru (other spellings can also be found).
