Khorramian’s works suggest geological formations that seem perpetually in motion, with earth tones, rocky textures, and translucent layers that invite viewers into ambiguous, dream-like spaces. Her art explores transformation, memory, and the subtle boundaries between recognition and pure visual sensation, resulting in landscapes that exist between imagination and reality.

She creates these abstract landscapes through innovative printmaking and painting techniques, such as painting on smooth plates, transferring images with a printing press, and then meticulously layering gouache, ink, and other media to create fluid, ethereal terrains. These can become the basis for prints like this “zoomscape”—a magnified detail from a larger work. Follow the nearby link to an animation by the artist that draws us into her visionary worlds.
