Not on viewThis video documents the Krakow residents who participated as extras in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film Schindler’s List. Many of those extras, or their relatives, also lived through World War II, and their recollection of participating in the film comes through as a double memory of real atrocities. Fast uses the video medium to splice together these duplicate memories as well as footage from both the film set and the neighboring concentration camp.
