Pujol is a queer artist at the forefront of AIDS activism, assisting non-profit organizations in addressing HIV/AIDS in the U.S. and Latin America. While the artist discourages a straightforward reading of the work, these coffin-like boxes evoke both wrapped gifts and mass death.
