Inspired by his casual study of biology, optics, physics, and physiology, František Kupka often creatively combined scientific concepts with an interest in mysticism. His fascination with the cosmic encompassed both the intricacies of biological life on earth and the vastness of the universe. In these prints, from a portfolio exploring the possibilities of abstraction, Kupka emphasized the unfathomable aspects of space on a universal scale.
