Not on viewMichael Schwerner was one of three civil rights workers murdered by the KKK in Neshoba county, Mississippi in June 1964 at the start of what became known as the “Mississippi Freedom Summer”. This image is believed to be based on the photographs that appeared on F.B.I. “wanted” posters that were distributed until the men’s bodies were found, buried in an earthen dam, in August.
