Provenance(Cleveland Museum of Art travelling exhibition of European arts and crafts by 1926)¹; Purchased 1926 by Florence Reid Bush, Avon Lake, OH; gift 1961 to Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin, OH ¹According to the donor, rug was purchased from the Cleveland Museum of Art in April 1926 from traveling exhibtition of European arts and crafts, which was from a selection from "L'exposition des arts decratifs" in Paris, 1925. Not listed in Paris catalogue, and a Cleveland catalogue does not exist.
