More Information
An amusing scene of children, here given an exoticizing spin by the artist, who renders a scene of wealthy Chinese boys playing. Three are engaged in a tug-of-war match with unseen opponents, one rides a hobby horse dressed as a court official, and two others act as servants, carrying a banner and parasol.

This is an orphan print; originally it was the right-hand side of a two-sheet (diptych) composition.
